Avocados are in season – my tips to keep them fresh and ready to eat all year round.
Tip 1: Peel and puree your avocado, squeeze some lemon juice and freeze them immediately in an airtight container.
They will last for up to 6 months frozen. just remember to label the container with the freezing date.
Tip 2: To speed up the ripening, place an unripened Avocado into a brown paper bag and secure the top.
They will ripen even quicker if you also place a banana in the bag.
Tip 3: Rub lemon onto any remaining cut avocado and wrap it tight with plastic cling wrap to secure the freshness and to avoid rotting.
