From allowing enough time for family to make travel arrangements (more on that below), to spreading out the cost, and allowing you to actually enjoy the festive season, in our opinion the pros far outweigh the cons.

One of the hardest parts of Christmas is figuring out how you’re going to navigate family commitments. Especially if travel is involved.
Planning for Christmas (and deciding on a location for Christmas celebrations) as early as possible, provides guests the best chance to figure out which engagements they can attend and make the necessary arrangements. They also have the best chance of nabbing great travel deals in the process, as well as eliminating family arguments since everyone is well informed in the decision making process.
You can spread out the costs
For most people, Christmas is expensive! Between presents, travel, food, and entertainment, it can make even the most generous of budgets burst at their seams. We’re even struggling with the mental image of this!
By planning early (and even starting to shop) you’re able to spread out the costs involved of making the festive season special. After all, a small amount from each pay cheque is easier to handle then leaving all the expenses for December.
Cherish your free time
No one wants to spend the entire Christmas period in a frenzy! That’s not what Christmas is about. We recommend planning and getting organised early, so you actually get to spend time with your loved ones.
The more you plan, the more time you’ll have to spare. If that doesn’t inspire you, we’re not sure what will.
